Upcoming Honda SUVs In India: From Hybrid Elevate To 0 Alpha EV, Full Lineup Revealed

Honda Cars India is gearing up for a major product expansion in the SUV segment to reclaim its market presence. The Japanese automaker has confirmed the launch of four new SUVs in India by 2030, including ICE (petrol), hybrid, and electric models. The lineup will include the Honda Elevate Hybrid, ZR-V Hybrid SUV, a 7-seater premium SUV, the futuristic Honda 0 Alpha EV, and a subcompact SUV.

1️⃣ Honda ZR-V Hybrid SUV – Launch by Early 2026

The Honda ZR-V is expected to enter India via the CBU (Completely Built-Up) route in early 2026. Globally, it’s offered with a 2.0L petrol engine paired with two electric motors and an e-CVT gearbox, delivering a combined 180bhp. The SUV also offers a 1.5L turbo-petrol option. If launched, the ZR-V will likely retain this hybrid powertrain for the Indian market, making it a direct rival to the Toyota Hyryder and Maruti Grand Vitara hybrids.

2️⃣ Honda Elevate Hybrid – Launch in H2 2026

After the success of the petrol Elevate, Honda is preparing to launch its Elevate Hybrid variant in the second half of 2026. The new model will share its hybrid system with the City e:HEV, featuring a 1.5L Atkinson cycle petrol engine, an energy-dense electric motor, and a lightweight battery pack. Honda has hinted that the Elevate Hybrid will also receive hybrid-specific styling updates and advanced transmission technology.

3️⃣ Honda 7-Seater Premium SUV – Launch in Late 2027

Honda’s upcoming 7-seater SUV will debut on the company’s new PF2 modular platform, which will also underpin the next-generation Honda City. It will be offered with two engine choices – a 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol and a 1.5L strong-hybrid option. This model will target family buyers and compete with the Toyota Innova Hycross and Hyundai Alcazar.

4️⃣ Honda 0 Alpha EV – Launch in 2027

The Honda 0 Alpha Electric SUV will mark the brand’s entry into the EV market in India. Set to launch in 2027, this electric SUV will embody Honda’s new ‘Thin, Light, and Wise’ design philosophy. It’s likely to come with a 65kWh–75kWh battery pack, a single-motor setup, and front-wheel drive (FWD) configuration. Expect a range of over 450 km on a single charge.

5️⃣ Honda Subcompact SUV – Launch in 2029

Honda will make a comeback in the sub-4-metre SUV space by 2029 with a new model based on the PF2 architecture. It’s expected to feature the 1.5L petrol engine from the City, offering a blend of performance and efficiency.
