Effect of GST 2.0: From two wheeler to four wheeler companies reduced prices, from Tata-Toyota to Maruti-Mercedes prices fell drastically
Just before the festive season, after the Government of India reduced the GST category, now car companies and bike companies have reduced prices. Some companies have also given attractive offers to customers in view of the festive season. Let us know which companies' car prices have fallen drastically.
1. Tata Motors
Tata Motors has reduced prices on both passenger and commercial vehicles. Nexon has now become cheaper by 1.55 lakhs and Safari has been reduced by 1.45 lakhs. On the other hand, among commercial vehicles, heavy CVs have now become cheaper by 2.8-4.65 lakhs, buses and vans by 1.2-4.35 lakhs and pickups by 30 thousand to 1.10 lakh rupees. The new prices will be effective from September 22.
2. Mahindra & Mahindra
Mahindra announced a reduction in the prices of its passenger vehicles on September 6. Now there has been a reduction of Rs 1.27 lakh on Bolero, Rs 1.45 lakh on Scorpio, Rs 1.33 lakh on Thar Roxx and Rs 1.43 lakh on XUV700. The company says that 60% of its total sales volume has now come in the lower GST slab.
3. Maruti Suzuki
It has reduced prices of its cars including Alto K10, WagonR, Swift and Ertiga by Rs 40 thousand to Rs 2.25 lakh on many models. At the same time, two-wheeler companies Bajaj, Hero and TVS have also reduced prices to benefit the customers.
4.Skoda Auto India
Skoda has also given a limited-period offer along with GST reduction. Relief of Rs 66 thousand is being given on Kushaq, Rs 63 thousand on Slavia and Rs 3.3 lakh on Kodiaq. However, this offer is valid only till 21 September.
5.Audi India
Audi has reduced the prices of its vehicles from Rs 2.6 lakh to Rs 7.8 lakh. Relief of Rs 3.07 lakh has been given on Q3, Rs 2.64 lakh on A4, Rs 3.64 lakh on A6, Rs 4.55 lakh on Q5, Rs 6.15 lakh on Q7 and Rs 7.8 lakh on flagship Q8.
6.Mercedes-Benz
Mercedes has reduced the prices of its models from Rs 2.6 lakh to Rs 11 lakh. A200d is now cheaper by Rs 2.6 lakh, E-Class LWB by Rs 6 lakh, S450 by Rs 11 lakh and GLE 450 SUV by Rs 8 lakh.
7.Nissan Motor India
Nissan has cut prices of its popular Magnite SUV by up to Rs 1 lakh. The base model Visia MT will now be available for less than Rs 6 lakh. At the same time, relief of more than Rs 1 lakh has also been given in the top model Tekna + CVT.
8.Renault India
Renault has also announced a cut on its vehicles. Kwid will now start at Rs 4.29 lakh. Relief of Rs 78 thousand has been given on Triber and about Rs 96 thousand on the top trim of Kiger. The new prices will be effective from September 22.
9. Hyundai Motor India
Hyundai has reduced the prices of its vehicles by up to Rs 2.40 lakh. The maximum reduction has been made on Tucson by Rs 2.40 lakh, Venue by Rs 1.23 lakh, i20 by Rs 98 thousand and Alcazar by Rs 75 thousand. The company says that about 60% of its vehicles have now come in the 18% GST slab.
10. Toyota Kirloskar Motor
Toyota has made Fortuner cheaper by Rs 3.49 lakh, Legender by Rs 3.34 lakh, Hilux by Rs 2.52 lakh and Vellfire by Rs 2.78 lakh. At the same time, there will be relief of Rs 1.8 lakh on Innova Crysta and Rs 1.15 lakh on Hycross. The new prices will be effective from September 22.
